Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine has a new addition to the sheriff’s department’s roster.
Deputy Sheriff Lou Mediano Jr. recently replaced a vacancy within the sheriff’s department road patrol division, according to 1st. Sgt. Chad Hill.
Deputy Sheriff Mediano began his law enforcement in 2002 as a reserve officer with the Cromwell Police Department, before being hired full time in 2008 as the Town Marshal for Claypool. In 2014, he began working as a part-time deputy sheriff for the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. Mediano is a 2012 graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and a native of Kosciusko County.
Mediano follows in the career footsteps of his father, Lou Mediano Sr., who had been a long-time law enforcement officer with both the Syracuse and Milford Police Departments.
Sheriff Rovenstine stated that “with his experience, capabilities and knowledge, Mediano will be a great asset to the sheriff’s department.”
