The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is issuing a final order in the matter of installation of pipes in Lake Wawasee. According to our partner in news — The Times Union — a petition filed for the installation of pipes 175 feet from the shore to hold “No Anchoring” signs was initially denied in February. An appeal was filed and and after a conference earlier this month, the parties agreed to the installation of buoys rather than sign posts. As part of the agreement, the buoys can contain signs that are made of “a material that, if struck by a watercraft, will cause little or no damage.”
