Janet Anthony, president elect of the Lakeland Area Kiwanis Club, presented a check for $1,390 to Ayla Torres, Wawasee Key Club member and lieutenant governor of the Land of Lakes Division of Key Club. The Indiana Division of Key Club pledged $30,000 to Riley Children’s Hospital. They are working in partnership with the rest of the Indiana Kiwanis family to raise $1 million for the hospital, to improve infant survival rates. Anthony presented the check to Torres at the weekly meeting Thursday at the North Webster Community Center. The public is welcome to attend club meetings each Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.
