Charges have been announced for a Noble County man who led police on a pursuit and subsequent shootout with officers during the early morning hours of April 22nd.
40-year old Justin Robert Weikel of LaOtto is facing charges including attempted murder, attempted aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a serious felon, possession of narcotics and resisting law enforcement. This follows an April incident where Weikel led police on a chase starting in Fort Wayne and ended in Kendallville.
Weikel was said to shoot at officers after the pursuit came to an end in Kendallville. No officers were injured in the incident.
