Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly will fly home to Indiana aboard Air Force One with President Donald Trump to catch his speech pitching the Republican federal tax overhaul plan.
Trump is supposed to outline his ideas at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Donnelly said in a statement Tuesday that he will be joining the president to travel from Washington to Indianapolis for the speech.
He is considered one of the most vulnerable Democratic senators up for re-election in 2018. The flight with the president is just the latest in a White House campaign seeking to pressure and entice Donnelly into supporting the GOP effort.
