ELKHART — Two people, including a Leesburg woman, died after a motorcycle and a van crashed on Wednesday afternoon in Elkhart County, according to WNDU.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. on CR 18 near CR 117.

Police say a Harley Davidson was traveling west on CR 18 when an eastbound Chrysler Town and Country attempted to turn into a private drive and pulled in front of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle was laid down but continued west and hit the van, according to investigators.

The driver of the motorcycle, 41-year-old Jason Bleiler of Goshen, and his passenger, 38-year-old Crystal Woolums of Leesburg, were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say neither were wearing helmets.

The crash remains under investigation. It’s unclear at this time if any criminal charges will be filed in connection with it.
