Limitless Park is set to open this Friday in Winona Lake. Limitless Park is hoped to be a place where people of all abilities and ages can play. For individuals with disabilities, traditional playground equipment may sideline their activity.
Holly Fancil, a special needs teacher at Gateway Education Center in Warsaw, says she can't wait for the park to open. “I'm thrilled. It's so hard to even get a wheelchair through the parks, so it'll be a great place, a safe place for the kids and most importantly a fun place,” Fancil said.
In an effort to create an inclusive environment, the new park at Winona Lake features playground equipment that is available for use to individuals with disabilities, as well as a new splash pad. The grand opening and ribbon cutting will be Friday at 6:30 pm.
