In their bi-weekly update on Thursday, health officials say the positivity rate that is noted on the Indiana State Department of Health website is “currently not an accurate representation of the positivity rates monitored through the KCHD.”
Officials believe that the increase could be could be related to the decreased access to testing for those that are asymptomatic or do not have a known exposure. The health department also believe it may be due to the inconsistencies required by the IDH when reporting lab results when it comes to cases between molecular and antigen tests.
