Police in Elkhart county have arrested a man they say was driving while intoxicated with his 2 year-old son in the vehicle. What's worse, the man's son wasn't properly restrained. 21 year-old Rex Allen Stickler Sr. was stopped on County Road 13 near Bluff Crest Dr for speeding. He was found to be impaired, failing both a field sobriety testing and a Drug Recognition Evaluation. Investigators say he was found to be in possession of more than 17 grams of marijuana, smoking devices and digital scales. On top of that, he had never received a license. Stickler's son was released to another family member. The Department of Child Services is now investigating.
