An Elkhart man is facing rape charges in St. Joseph County after police say he offered to help a stranded driver but instead, raped her while a small child was in the back seat. 35 year-old Jeremy Michael Neloff is charged with four counts of rape, one count of criminal confinement and one count of performing sexual conduct in front of a minor. The South Bend Tribune reports the victim’s car ran out of gas on Grape Road in Mishawaka early in the morning, a week ago Sunday. Neloff drove up and offered to give her a ride to a gas station, but instead, police say he drove her to a country road and raped her while threatening her with a screwdriver. Afterward, he drove her to a gas station, filled up a gas can for her and took her back to her car.
