An Elkhart man was arrested over the weekend for dealing methamphetamine. It happened during a routine traffic stop when officers smelled a chemical odor coming from 50 year old Robert Nelson's vehicle. During the search, officers found a backpack with smoke coming from the inside of it. Inside the back pack was a plastic bottle used for manufacturing meth. Nelson is currently being held at the Elkhart County Jail without bond.
