Man Assaulted At Goshen Park, Two Teens Arrested

Two teenagers whose images were captured on video, allegedly assaulting an older man in a Goshen city park have been arrested on charges of robbery, resulting in serious bodily injury. The two teens charged are identified as 17 year-old Austin Handshoe and 16 year-old Keenan Baker. Both boys are from Goshen. Police are still asking for anyone else with information about the assault to contact them.Investigators are not sure of the exact date of the occurrence but images captured on video show several young people, possibly teenagers, confronting an older man in the southwest corner of Rogers Park. After a brief conversation with the older man in which the group demanded money from him in exchange for passage through the park, one of the young males struck the victim, knocking him to the ground. Police call the apparent attack a sickening display of cowardice, and they call the bullying and battering of a defenseless senior citizen is an appalling and unacceptable act.
