A South Bend man is facing charges accused of holding two women hostage and selling drugs out of one of the women's apartment. South Bend police say it started several weeks ago when the women were held hostage and abused at an apartment in the 3500 block of High Street. It wasn’t until last week that the women managed to escape, and they didn’t return to the home until Thursday where they found the front door shattered and called police. When officers got there they found the 26 year old suspect with two handguns, a large quantity of marijuana, scales, and plastic bags for packaging. The two women did suffer lacerations and bruising. He is facing 6 different preliminary felony charges, and several misdemeanors.
