FORT WAYNE — The man accused of killing four people in Fort Wayne last week has been charged with four counts of murder.
Police say Cohen Hancz-Barron stabbed 26-year-old Sarah Zent, and her three children — 5-year-old Carter, 3-year-old Ashton, 2-year-old Aubree. An affidavit said the children were found face down on a bed. Zent was found dead, kneeling next to the bed.
Police described the scene inside the home on the southeast side of the city as “gruesome.”
Barron was quickly named a suspect, and was found later that day in Lafayette with a knife that had a blood stain on it. Court documents say Barron called his stepmom and admitted to being at the home that morning.
A trial date has not been set yet.
