A man is in the hospital after what is believed to be a near drowning incident at Washington Park Beach.
The 48-year-old is in critical condition after being pulled from the Lake Michigan water in Michigan City shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources reports the man was rescued by beach-goers, who did CPR until emergency personnel arrived.
The man is receiving treatment at St. Anthony’s Hospital as Conservation Officers continue to investigate.
