A local painting business is having a contest to give out a scholarship to a young person who is looking to become an entrepreneur.
Leesburg based Matthews’ Painting Company is holding their first annual Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Program, in which anyone between the ages of eight and 17 could get up to $1,000 in grant money.
Contestants must come up with a business plan or a presentation of a business plan based on small jobs they do, or something they may want to pursue. It can also be based on an existing business.
Contestants must live in Kosciusko County and the deadline to submit ideas is July 1st.
