Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council fundraising to bring mural to downtown Warsaw

A mural is likely coming to downtown Warsaw.

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council received approval at Monday’s Board of Works meeting to accept a $5,000 grant from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority for the project.

The mural would include depictions of the Kosciusko County Courthouse and Center Lake and would be placed on the side of the 110 Craft Meatery building in an alley off Buffalo Street.

It will be painted by local artist Robert Hudson, who has complete murals in several surrounding cities and towns.

The Warsaw Community High School students involved in the project are still fundraising for an additional $2,500 needed to get the mural completed before the fall.  Anyone who wants to donate can email myac@warsaw.in.gov.
