McDonald's is planning to simplify its menu and maybe even the number of ingredients it uses in its food as it fights to hold onto customers. Unfortunately that's not quite the case as earlier this week, the fast food giant reported yet another monthly decline in U.S. sales. Company officials say the Novembers figure fell 4.6 percent. However, CEO Don Thompson is reassuring investors that the coming changes , will help strengthen the chain's appeal. Executives say eight menu items and five Extra Value Meals could disappear, but they didn't specify which ones.
