Preparations are underway across Kosciusko County to remember those who died in service.
The Times-Union reports members of Warsaw American Legion Post 49 and Cub Scouts recently walked two cemeteries to make sure that veterans’ graves were marked with flags for Memorial Day.
A Veteran’s Ceremony will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Lake on Saturday at 11 a.m. Details can be found here.
The Northern Indiana Lakes Festival at Center Lake Park in Warsaw will also be remembering those we’ve lost. A Memorial Day Ceremony will be held Sunday featuring a 21-gun salute and a special World War II fly-over by the Hooligan Flight Team.
The Mentone Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 5th Annual Memorial Day program on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Mentone Cemetery. A reception will take place at the Bell Aircraft Museum. In case of rain, it will be held at the Baptist Church.
The Leesburg Community will be having a Memorial Day parade and service on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Details can be found on that event here.
