A Milford man was arrested July 5th after allegedly kicking and strangling a female victim during a dispute. According to an affidavit filed by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, a Warsaw Police Department officer responded to a report of domestic battery at 1905 Sand Castle Drive in Warsaw, and found a male subject, later identified as 32 year old Frank Antu Perales of Milford standing outside the residence, who advised he had gotten into a fight. The officer observed Perales had a bleeding wound on his finger and a black eye. The officer then entered the residence and spoke with the victim who advised Perales had become angry and slapped her. The woman alleged Perales had then began breaking things inside the residence and knocked her to the ground and kicked her in the leg. Further, the victim said Perales grabbed her by the hair and dragged her down a hallway, placing his arm around her neck to the point she believed she would pass out. She stated Perales then let her go, but when she tried to retrieve her cell phone, Perales threw and shattered it. The officer reported he observed a smashed coffee table, an overturned television, a shattered glass jewelry box, a broken guitar and strewn dresser drawers on the floor of the residence. Perales was arrested and charged with strangulation, domestic battery and interference with the reporting of a crime and held on a $2,000 bond.
