The Mishawaka High School worker who admitted to an inappropriate relationship with a 15 year-old female student will not spend time behind bars. Ryan Mouch was sentenced, Wednesday, to 3 years suspended, 3 years probation and was ordered to have no contact with his victim or other children under the age of 16. Mouch was originally charged with sexual misconduct, though that charge was dismissed when he pleaded guilty to dissemination of harmful matter to a minor. The St. Joseph County Prosecutor says after the original charge was filed, back in the spring, evidence was discovered which supported Mouch's “reasonable belief' that the victim was 16 years old at the time of their relationship. He became involved with the student when she asked him for help with homework.
