MISHAWAKA (Network Indiana) — A Mishawaka woman faces charges for leaving her three-month-old baby in a hot car.
Samantha Ferrell is accused of leaving her baby in the car Thursday while she went inside a store on Grape Road.
A store employee said Ferrell left the store and returned with a baby in a carrier. The worker called police after noticing the baby was “very red” and appeared to need medical attention, reports WSBT.
The baby was taken to the hospital, given fluids, and released.
Ferrell was arrested for neglect of a dependent and released from jail on Saturday.
