UPDATE: (10:15 p.m.) Elkhart Police have located Majayla Robinson. She is reported to be safe.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Elkhart Police Department is asking for help locating a missing 8 year-old girl who was last seen on Friday, Aug. 3.
Late Saturday afternoon, the department released the following information:
On Friday August 3, 2018, at 8:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to the lobby of the police department in regard to a missing person report.
The family of Majayla Robinson reported her missing. Majayla was last seen on Friday August 3, 2018 between 11:05am and 1:00pm in the area of Dover Street or the area of Kingsland Court.
Officers searched the areas and address the family provided and Majayla was not located. Detectives and officers are currently following up on the investigation which includes searching areas and address where
Majayla is known to frequent. Outside agencies including the Goshen Police Department, Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department and A Child is Missing have also been notified that Majayla is missing.
Majayla Robinson is prone to running away however she is usually located quickly or returns home and has never ran away and been gone overnight.
Majayla Robinson was described as eight (8) year old black female, 4”6” to 4’10” tall weighing between 60 and 80 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair which was last known to be in braids.
Majayla was last seen wearing a pastel / tie dyed dress with pink in it and pink shoes.
