INDIANAPOLIS — The Hamilton County chapter of Moms for Liberty has taken down its new newsletter after getting blasted for featuring a quote from Adolf Hitler on the cover.
The group, considered a hate group by some, apologized Thursday.
The quote read, “He alone who owns the youth, gains the future.”
Among those speaking out were the Indiana Democratic Party, school leaders in the county, a state senator and former state superintendent of public education Jennifer McCormick
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, who is often quick to speak out on social media about hot-button issues, has avoided jumping into the debate.
Three weeks ago, Rokita posted that he had met with the group and described them as an “amazing organization that’s on the front lines fighting to protect our rights.”
On Thursday, the group apologized and said quoting Hitler was a mistake.
