WARSAW — Plans have been finalized for Monday’s forum featuring a handful of gubernatorial candidates at the Performing Arts Center in Warsaw Monday night.
The event is organized by Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, and CEO Rob Parker said they have commitments from three candidates.
Those participating include Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, Brad Chambers and Eric Doden.
US Sen. Mike Braun, also a candidate for governor, did not accept the invitation.
Two other Republicans — former Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill and Jamie Reitenour — were not invited.
Parker said they sought to keep the number to no more than four Republicans because having all of six would have been too unwieldy for a forum with lots of questions.
The decision on who was invited was based on a straw poll, he said.
Parker said the Democrat and Libertarian candidates (Jennifer McCormick and Donald Rainwater, respectively) were not invited because they are not facing a challenge in the May primary.
The forum begins at 6 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
The forum will feature questions from News Now Warsaw, The Times-Union and InkFreeNews.
