Stephanie Cloud will be appointed to fill the role of Monroe Township Trustee, effective Thursday.
Josh Spangle vacated the position after moving out of the district.
Kosciusko County GOP Chairman Mike Ragan appointed Cloud because the only Monroe Township Precinct Committeeman, who was also appointed to replace Spangle, has not been in position for 30 days, and was therefore not eligible to vote.
Because of the appointment, the previously announced caucus has been cancelled.
Stephanie Cloud has also filed for the Monroe Township Trustee seat in the upcoming primary.
