PLYMOUTH – The man accused of crashing into a Whitley County deputy’s car and killing the K-9 unit inside faces new charges.
Marshall County authorities say 31-year old Clarence Shearer of Fort Wayne now faces armed robbery, auto theft and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. He’s accused of stealing a car in Plymouth and leading police on a chase that made a brief stop in Warsaw before ending in western Whitley County.
WANE TV reports that Shearer faces charges from an unrelated incident in February, including strangulation and domestic battery.
