Morning accident traps driver in vehicle

Kosciusko County Deputies responded to a critical accident scene early this morning with the driver trapped in his vehicle.

KCSD Deputies, along with Syracuse\Turkey Creek Fire Territory EMS and firemen, arrived at the  early this morning at 4:47 AM to the area of County Road 1000 N. And Koher Rd. E. regarding a single vehicular crash.

Police and emergency personnel located driver, Christopher Doty, 24, of North Webster, trapped inside his 1997 Buick Park Avenue.

Doty was initially conscious at the scene, but after extrication became unconscious and was immediately transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, in critical condition, according to 1st Sgt. Chad Hill.

KCSD deputies preliminarily determined that Doty was driving east on County Road 1000 N., when he failed to navigate the curves near the intersection of Koher Road.  His vehicle left the roadway and struck several trees during the impact.

The crash is currently under investigation by KCSD.
