Around 5 p.m. Wednesday a pickup truck and a motorcycle were involved in a collision at the intersection of Ind. 14 and CR 600E. According to Andrew Bolinger, who was driving the pickup, he was traveling west on Ind. 14 and was stopped waiting to turn south onto CR 600 when the motorcycle, driven by 29-year-old Kyle Slater of Claypool, rear-ended him. Slater was taken by Samaritan to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, for a head injury. Slater was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, first responders said. Slater’s condition Thursday was not released by Parkview. No other injuries were reported.
