Mrs. America will soon be competing in South Africa for the Mrs. World title.

Mekayla Eppers of Bristol was was Miss Indiana and competed for Miss U.S.A.

WNDU reports she advocates for Native American causes and for children who are victims of sexual assault.

She says the Mrs. World competition is a win-win for her.

“I’m going to have an amazing experience regardless, I’ve done everything I can to get ready. I’m either going to win or I get to come home and continue being Mrs. America,” she told WNDU.

Mrs. World will be crowned on Dec. 16.
