This Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The DEA puts on the day twice per year to bring opportunities for safe disposal of extra prescription drugs at secure take back locations all over the country.
Assistant to the Secretary for Rural Development and Indiana native Anne Hazlett says addictions can be fueled when people get unused pills from friends and family.
“These are not substances that people are getting from a dealer on the street, in fact, they are right in our own homes,” she explains.
