The weekend brought scorching temperatures. Fort Wayne saw 97 degrees on Memorial Day, making it the hottest one on record. The rest of Northern Indiana was at near-record temps, too.
“The record for both May 28 and Memorial Day, since Memorial Day falls on different days sometimes, is 95 degrees set back in 2012. The second hottest goes all the way back to 1911, more than a hundred years ago, at 94 degrees,” explains WNDU Meteorologist Mike Hoffman.
He says Hurricane Alberto should impact us by bringing showers tomorrow and cooler temperatures later this week.
