NET 43 arrests four in drug bust in Milford

Four people were arrested Thursday after a drug investigation by NET 43.

Arrested were:

• Jeffrey Robert Fisher, 33, Milford, for possession of methamphetamine, a felony; possession of paraphernalia, a felony; and maintaining a common nuisance, a misdemeanor. His bond was set at $5,000 surety and $250 cash.

• Kali Kay Ohman, 27, homeless, for maintaining a common nuisance, misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $500 cash.

• Matthew James Smiechowski, 25, Elkhart, for visiting a common nuisance, a misdemeanor. His bond was set at $450 cash.

• Katelynd Breann Landess, 23, Mishawaka, for maintaining a common nuisance, a misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $500 cash.

According to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, in early May, the KCSO received a complaint of methamphetamine usage in the presence of children at 111 N. Henry St., Milford.

Information deputies gathered was forwarded to NET 43, initiating a narcotics investigation. As the result, officers were able to secure a search warrant for the property.

At 4 p.m. Thursday, with the assistance of Indiana State Police SWAT, NET 43 raided the home. Due to the research completed by NET 43 officers, the search warrant was executed with the knowledge that the children were not in the house, the release states. Methamphetamine, paraphernalia, scales and ammunition were found in the home.

Those arrested were taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.

NET 43 was assisted by KCSO, Milford Police Department, Syracuse Police Department, ISP and Lutheran EMS.

NET 43 is a collaborative law enforcement unit, consisting of officers from the Warsaw and Winona Lake Police Departments, ISP and KCSO.
