A big new addition to the South Bend International Airport. Officials have announced a new once-daily flight from South Bend to Newark Liberty International. The airport largely serves New York City area travelers, and South Bend officials say New York remains the #1 unserved market for the area. The deal has apparently been two years in the making and will start in late October. United Airlines will provide the flights and tickets are already on sale.
