A new campaign is underway to underscore the importance of pre-Kindergarten programs in Indiana. Education advocates launched a campaign in Indianapolis on Friday called All IN 4 Pre-K. It’s a push for a statewide pre-kindergarten program in next year’s legislative session.
Organizers with All IN 4 Pre-K say their focus is on families and community leaders, and they are gathering stories from parents and children who have had positive pre-kindergarten experiences. Early Learning Indiana says parents want pre-K programs for their children but usually have a difficult time paying for them. They say expanding access and increasing funding will better prepare Indiana 4-year-old children for school.
