Family Safety Day is next month in Central Park.
According to a press release from Kosciusko REMC, Family Safety Day is presented by the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and sponsored by Kosciusko REMC and Lutheran Health Network KCH.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Warsaw’s Central Park and Center Lake Pavilion.
Now in its eighth year, the event brings a crowd of nearly 4,000 people to experience a variety of hands-on learning activities, presentations and games, all offered free of charge. The whole family can learn about bike, farm, fire, electrical and water safety, stranger danger, first aid, and health and wellness at this year’s event.
New events and activities this year include free make-and-take first aid kits from KCH; a tornado machine courtesy of the National Weather Service; grain entrapment simulation sponsored by Brock and TruHorizons; free bike helmets and fittings from the Warsaw Kiwanis Club; hands-on line building activity from Kosciusko REMC; water safety booth from the YMCA; and the Image Clear Ultrasound Unit from Heartline Pregnancy Center.
