Nextremity Solutions Inc. announced this week that its board of directors has named Nick A. Deeter to serve as the company’s CEO and board chairman.
Deeter brings more than 30 years of business leadership and health care industry experience, starting his orthopaedic career with Zimmer. He founded OrthoPediatrics Corp. in 2006, an orthopaedic company focused on implants for children. Prior to forming OrthoPediatrics, he spent seven years with DePuy Orthopaedics, where he was responsible for health care compliance administration, medical affairs and Orthogenesis (custom devices).
Deeter will remain on the board of directors for Cardinal Services and on the board of trustees for Howe Military Academy.
“I am excited to lead Nextremity Solutions through its next growth phase. The foot and ankle segment of the orthopaedic industry continues to grow rapidly. The intellectual property behind the company’s products is second to none,” Deeter said in a provided release.
Rod K. Mayer will remain the president of Nextremity Solutions Inc., working in tandem with Deeter. Mayer will have a heavy focus on product development, sales and marketing, according to the release, as well as devoting himself to building and maintaining surgeon relationships.
