INDIANAPOLIS— The NFL Combine will be staying in Indianapolis for 2026.
This is a one-year extension for the event, which was already previously scheduled to take place Feb. 24 – March 3.
The NFL has considered moving the Combine out of Indianapolis. Dallas and Los Angeles made bids to host it in 2023 and 2024.
In 2022, both the City of Indianapolis and the NFL agreed to a two-year extension, and this is now the second consecutive one-year extension.
The 2024 NFL Combine brought roughly $10 million to the economy of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis has hosted the NFL Combine since 1987.
Ever since Lucas Oil Stadium opened, the Combine has been held there.
“Indianapolis and the NFL Combine have a proud history together, so we’re thrilled to continue our longstanding partnership with Visit Indy, the Indianapolis Colts, and the local community for this 2026 event,” NFL EVP Peter O’Reilly said in a statement.
“Our partners in Indy have successfully hosted the football evaluation process for decades, and recently, we’ve collectively worked to grow and evolve the in-person fan experience, bringing tens of thousands of fans closer to the league’s future stars,” he said.
At the NFL Combine, college football players perform physical and mental tests in front of National Football League coaches, general managers, and scouts in an attempt to make an NFL roster.
