CAMDEN, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say nine people have been hurt after a car crashed into a horse-drawn buggy in north-central Indiana.
WLFI-TV reports a 30-year-old woman told sheriff’s deputies she was driving north on State Road 75 Sunday afternoon when she dropped something on the floor. When she reached to pick it up, her car struck the horse and buggy carrying eight people.
Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby says the driver as well the four adults and four children in the buggy were treated for minor injuries at a hospital. He adds the horse had a small cut but is OK.
Leazenby says prosecutors will determine whether charges will be filed.
