A Warsaw teen will not face charges after investigators say he was not to blame in a fatal accident in Florida this week.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the 17-year old boy identified by News Now Warsaw as Noah Knepp was behind the wheel of a minivan when an older couple stepped in front of the van on A-1-A in St. Augustine.
Witnesses told police that it was overcast at the time of the accident, and the 65-year old man and his 63-year old wife from the state of Maine walked out from a restaurant and into the path of the van. The man died from his injuries at a local hospital.
Local residents say that area is known to be dangerous for pedestrians, and they have been urging local authorities to do something to make it safer.
All six young people in the minivan were from the Warsaw area, and none were injured. Investigators say Knepp was not at fault and released him to his parents.
