SYRACUSE — No one was injured following a plane crash into Lake Wawasee on Saturday afternoon.

According to Indiana State Conservation Officer Corporal Ken Dowdle, authorities were called to Lake Wawasee on reports of a possible plane crash around 1 p.m.

When authorities arrived on the scene, they found an Aviat Aircraft Huskie A-1C in the water near Ogdon Point Road.

Dowdle says the pilot was the only one on the plane when the crash happened. The pilot was able to evacuate the aircraft before authorities arrived.
