Moviegoers at North Pointe Cinemas had to evacuate the building Friday evening. According to Warsaw Fire Chief Mike Wilson, a damaged heating unit started producing smoke in a projector room, setting off fire alarms. Everyone in the building was evacuated and vehicles were not allowed into the parking lot until the all clear was given. After a thourough investigation, fire units found minimal damage, and patrons were allowed to return to the theater shortly after 8 p.m. Movies, such as the much awaited Star Wars were restarted for guests.
