Phend & Brown Inc. released a construction update on the North Pointe rehabilitation from Husky Trail to Mariners Drive.
Changing weather conditions and/or internal schedule changes may alter the dates. Traffic control signage and detour markings will be provided in advance of and during any closure, the release states.
For phase 1, North Pointe Drive will be closed between Husky Trail and Mariners Drive starting sometime on or after Monday. Local traffic for businesses and residents will be have access only from Mariners Drive; no traffic will be allowed to access North Pointe Drive from Husky Trail.
Construction will progress with removal of existing curb, followed by installation of storm drainage, then aggregate base installation, new curb and gutter, surface milling and asphalt paving. Throughout construction, new sidewalks will be poured and new concrete drive approaches will be installed.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes due to anticipated traffic delays.
Project completion is anticipated for November.
