The long-time director of the North Webster Public Library will be retiring at the end of the year.
The library made the announcement on Wednesday that Helen Leinbach Frank will step down on December 31st, marking the end of her time at the library at just over 30 years. Frank began as the director in April of 1990, not too long after she moved to the area from Pennsylvania in 1989.
Frank has seen the library go from a small room in the Tippecanoe Township building that had a book collection of 15,000 to the recently opened 20,000 square foot facility that opened back in July and now houses over 53,000 items.
