Notre Dame’s women basketball players wore “I Can’t Breathe” shirts during pregame warm-ups Saturday, before taking on Michigan. The team wore the shirts in support of the family of Eric Garner, who died after a New York police officer placed him in a choke-hold while trying to arrest him. They wore the shirts with the support of the University and coach Muffet McGraw. The Irish join a growing list of teams, college and pro, wearing similar shirts.
