The University Of Notre Dame has lost one of their most influential leaders. University President Reverend Theodore Hesburgh passed away around 11:30 pm Thursday night at the age of 97. According to WNDU, Hesburgh was president of Notre Dame from 1952-1987. A Holy Cross funeral Mass will be held in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. A public visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon there will be a private funeral and Wednesday night at 7:30 a public memorial will be held at the Joyce Center.
