A dozen local war veterans will be honored on Thursday morning during a ceremony where they will receive hand-made quilts.
The bi-annual Threads of Valor ceremony will be at the Pete Thorn Building, where the veterans will receive the tapestries from the Liberty Sewing Circle, headed up by Kathy Snell.
During this ceremony, veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom will be honored.
Doors open at 10 AM with the ceremonies to begin at 11 AM.
