The National Transportation and Safety Board has released a preliminary report on the bus stop crash that killed three children who were crossing S.R. 25 on October 30.

The initial results indicated the Tippecanoe Valley bus had its warning lights on and the stop arm was deployed at the time of the crash.

The report also detailed signs intended for southbound traffic on 25 which read “watch for school bus” and “left curve”.

It also noted there is no roadway lighting at the location where the crash occurred.

NTSB says they are investigating two other crashes involving school bus loading and unloading. Those cases are out of Georgia and Mississippi.

The driver, 24-year-old Alyssa Shepherd, is facing five charges in connection to the incident. She is scheduled to be back in court on April 18.
