MILLERSBURG — Sunday afternoon’s storm resulted in a death in Millersburg, according to the National Weather Service.
The death happened after an Amish buggie was knocked over near the intersection of SR 13 and CR 43, according to a preliminary report issued by the Weather Service.
The accident happened around 5 p.m.
No other details were immediately available and meteorologist Chris Roller said further information would come from the Elkhart County Emergency Management office.
The fast-moving storm brought heavy rains and wind gusts upward of 64 MPH at Elkhart Airport and 55 mph at the Goshen airport. Both of those are located northwest of Millersburg.
