WARSAW — One man was killed and several injured in a head-on collision Thursday night on Warsaw’s south side.
The accident happened on SR 25 near CR 100S at about 8:13 p.m., according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators believe a 1996 Toyota SUV driven by Fidel Vasquez was headed south on SR 25 when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2017 Ford F-150 truck driven by Andrew Wright.
Vasquez, 49, of Warsaw, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Andrew Wright, 37, of Warsaw was taken to Lutheran Fort Wayne and treated for a broken arm.
Four other passengers in Wright’s vehicle were also taken to Lutheran FW and treated for minor injuries.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Warsaw Police Department, Winona Lake Police Department, Indiana State Police, Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS, and the Kosciusko County.
